		<description>I have always been confused by "why" cutters would choose to do something so hurtful to themselves.  I have secretly thought they must be tortured young souls.  Your post helps shed some light on this for me.  I truly feel for these people and hope they find the love and support they are needing.</description>

Depression is a serious illness that affects adolescents just like it does adults. I’ve found Silver Hill Hosptial's wesbite to be a useful source of information about treatments for &lt;a href="http://www.silverhillhospital.org/adolescent-programs.htm" rel="nofollow"&gt;depression in adolescents&lt;/a&gt;.</description>

"TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery."

They are doing a webcast on October 5th.  I haven't looked closely at all that they are up to, but they seem worth checking out.</description>
